Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of CraftReceipt.

Last updated: 2026-07-30

The service

CraftReceipt ("we", "our", the "Service") is an online tool for creating receipt mockups in your browser. It provides templates, an editor, and export options for legitimate purposes such as recreating your own lost records, bookkeeping documentation, film and design props, software testing, and education. By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

Accounts

The builder and all templates are available without an account, and the Service is currently free. Optional account features may be introduced over time, and any paid plan would be shown with its price and billing interval at checkout before you are ever charged.

  • Account responsibility. If you register, you are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.

Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these terms. In short: the receipts you create may document real purchases or serve creative, educational, and testing purposes. They may not be used to deceive anyone, to claim money or goods you are not owed, or for any unlawful purpose. Please read the policy; violations can lead to termination of your access.

Intellectual property

  • Your receipts. You own the receipts you create with the Service, and you are solely responsible for their content and use.
  • Our tool. The Service itself, including the software, design, and template layouts, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service as intended.
  • Third-party marks. Some templates are stylistic mockups of familiar store formats. Those brand names and trademarks belong to their owners, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

The receipts are not proof of purchase

A receipt created with the Service is a document you authored. We do not verify any purchase, merchant, item, price, or date you enter, and we make no representation that a generated receipt will be accepted by any store, employer, insurer, or authority. You are solely responsible for how you use the documents you create.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any output will meet the requirements of any third party.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service or your use of any receipt created with it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you paid nothing.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the Service and other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If changes are material, we will note them on the site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
